| Dr Zasmani graduated from the University of Malaya in 1983, obtained her Masters in Psychiatry from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1991 and subsequently Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of London in 1995. She has had over 20 years of working experience as a psychiatrist, both in local hospitals and in London. She was in the National Team for Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome in Maudsley Hospital, London and the Eating Disorders Clinic in Bethlem Royal Hospital, London. She also worked with adults and adolescents with learning disability and autism at the Bassetts Centre in U.K. She previously held the post of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, UKM, and has vast experience both in the academic and clinical settings. |

| Dr Zasmani treats both adults and children with a range of psychological disorders including depression, anxiety, school refusal, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and psychosis like schizophrenia. She also does diagnostic evaluation on children and adults with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, hyperactivity or ADHD and dyslexia or reading difficulties. She uses education counselling, individual or family therapy, medication, behaviour modification, and biofeedback training particularly for anxiety management. |
