Dr. Yeoh completed his basic medical studies in the University of Malaya. In 1971, he completed internship at the General Hospital, Penang, after which he worked for several years as a Medical Officer which included a stint at the Bukit Mertajam Hospital as the administrator and anaesthetist, then later at General Hospital, Penang, rotating through several departments before specializing in anaesthesiology. He completed his specialty training in the United Kingdom - at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury and at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London - before returning to Penang in 1978. Soon after his return, he joined the Gleneagles Medical Centre (then known as the Penang Medical Centre). |

Dr. Yeoh is experienced in many fields of anaesthesia and intensive care. He is particularly interested in neuro-monitored general anaesthesia and cardiac anaesthesia. He had undergone attachments at the Singapore General Hospital and National Heart Centre in Kuala Lumpur before proceeding to participate in the heart programmes in Gleneagles Medical Centre. He had also observed heart surgeries at Gleneagles Intan, Kuala Lumpur, and at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. For neuro-monitoring, Dr. Yeoh uses “Bis” monitoring routinely for all general anaesthesia, particularly in cardiac anaesthesia to avoid dangers of inadvertent intraoperative awareness and unnecessary deep anaesthesia. |

| Dr. Yeoh is married with four adult children. He is a believer in fitness which he achieves by exercising regularly and by careful eating. In his spare time, he enjoys a little gardening, travelling and readings on religion, economics & politics. |
