| Dr. Lo received his medical undergraduate (MB. BCh.) and postgraduate (MRCP & MD) training in the United Kingdom. He started as a Senior Medical Officer in Cardiology in 1986 and became a specialist Cardiology Registrar in 1990 in several teaching hospitals in London, including the Westminster Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and the Royal Brompton National Heart Hospital. In 1995, he was appointed Consultant Cardiologist to the London Chest Hospital and the Harley Street Private Clinic in London. |

His training in London covered all aspects of adult Cardiology. He holds a Proficiency Certificate in Echocardiography from the British Society of Echocardiography. He pioneered the introduction of Endovascular Reconstruction Therapy for Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection in Penang. |

| Dr. Lo was awarded the Geoffery Holt Prize in Cardiovascular Research by the British Medical Association in 1991 and conferred Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1995 in recognition of his research work in diabetic heart disease. He had published over 30 papers in several international cardiology journals and presented his research work in national and international cardiology conferences in America, Britain, Europe and Asia. He had worked at the Mayo Clinic and University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in U.S.A. He was invited, as a Visiting Consultant, to teach interventional cardiology in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and China. |

| Dr. Lo has worked in Penang since 1997 and joined Gleneagles Medical Centre in 2000, practising cardiology and interventional cardiology, including endovascular work involving peripheral vascular diseases and aneurysms. |

| Dr. Lo leads a happy family life with his wife and 3 children. He is friendly and quite approachable. |
