| Mr. Shunmugam graduated with MBBS from the University of Malaya and obtained his postgraduate degrees from the United Kingdom. |

He was trained in general surgery, doing basic training, and then specialized in orthopaedic surgery. He had worked as a Registrar in Wycombe General Hospital and subsequently did his Masters training in orthopaedic surgery at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. |

| He has been with Gleneagles Medical Centre since 1985, practising as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. |
| |
| Mr. Shunmugam is able to deal with all cases of orthopaedics and traumatology. His forte is in preparing medico-legal reports for assessment of claims for patients involved in motor-vehicular accidents. |
