| Mr. Khoo joins us from Lam Wah Ee Hospital where he has been a Resident Consultant in General & Laparoscopic Surgery for the past 15 years. |

| Mr. Khoo graduated from The Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital, University of London in 1984. |

| Following several Senior House Officer positions in various surgical specialities, he obtained his FRCS diploma and held Surgical Registrar positions in Northampton & Guildford. |

| He then returned to Malaysia where he was Lecturer in Surgery at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from 1992 – 1996. |

| He joined Hospital Lam Wah Ee in 1996 and during his 15 years there developed an interest in laparoscopic surgery. He performs laparoscopic bowel resections, antireflux surgery and ventral hernia repairs in addition to cholecystectomies and appendicectomies. |

| In 2006, he performed the first endoscopic thyroidectomy at Hospital Lam Wah Ee, a procedure that has since gained in popularity. |

| Mr. Khoo also has an interest in the application of computers in medicine and was responsible for the design and running of the endoscopy database at Hospital Lam Wah Ee. He is a member of ELSA, PMPS and the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (College of Surgeons). |
