| Dr. Ong has been with Gleneagles Medical Centre, Penang since 1994. Prior to this, she was Consultant Cardiologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. |

Dr. Ong practises non-invasive as well as invasive and interventional cardiology. Her repertoire includes all aspects of echocardiography (including transoesophageal, dobutamine and stress echocardiography), permanent pacemaker implantation, coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention. |
| |
| She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom, the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology. She continues to contribute to research and postgraduate medical education in Penang. |

| Dr. Ong plays the piano and swims. She is married with three children. |
