| Dr. Mathew Tung Yu Yee had his early education in
Penang Free School. He had his basic medical
training in National University of Singapore. He
underwent advanced neurosurgical training in
Singapore and in the United Kingdom, obtaining
F.R.C.S. (Surgical Neurology) in 1996. He is a
Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. |

in Singapore General Hospital and continued in this
work while practising in the Lam Wah Ee Hospital. He
has kept abreast of medical advances and has

On his return to Malaysia, he worked in Lam Wah
Ee Hospital and Penang General Hospital before
joining Gleneagles Medical Centre. |

| In his approach to spinal surgery as in
neurosurgery, he adopts a minimally invasive
approach through a microsurgical technique as he
believes this is the key to minimal blood loss,
early discharge, early rehabilitation and early
return to work. |
