| Dr. Tan had her basic medical education at the University of Dundee in Scotland and postgraduate training at the Edinburgh Hospital for Sick Children, Scotland. |

Dr. Tan has a wide experience in paediatrics, having worked locally in Alor Star and Penang as well as abroad in Edinburgh. Her experience also extends to looking after premature babies requiring intensive care. She has attended and participated in various conferences and courses. |
